#24: Favourite Ad Right Now

Again, I  have chosen a motor vehicle commercial as my favourite of the time, even though I would not describe myself as a car person at all.  I think that Dodge took a great angle with this commercial.  It does such a good job that for a moment, I think viewers forget that Dodge Inc is in actuality a multi-billion dollar company with franchises all over North America.  Here, they paint themselves as the little guy who, overshadowed by the Goliath Ford Motor Company, fought their way through pure drive to a reputable and quality business.  Somehow through this commercial, Dodge simultaneously pins themselves as the underdog and the industry leader, without sounding arrogant or phony (or so I think).  Personally, I found this story inspiring and obviously well-constructed.  The only thing I wondered about this commercial is why Dodge hadn't taken this angle with their advertising before.
